Mathiva is designed with privacy in mind. No account is required. Equation scans, explanations, and history are stored locally on the user’s device unless a future cloud sync option is explicitly enabled by the user.
1. Overview
This policy explains how Mathiva handles information when you use the app on iPhone or iPad.
2. Local-first design
Mathiva does not require account creation for its core experience. Scans, local history, and learning preferences are designed to remain on the device.
3. Camera access
Camera access is used only to recognize mathematical equations and provide educational assistance. Camera images are not sold, used for advertising, or stored on Synapro servers.
4. Local data
Some app preferences, scan history, and educational content may be stored locally on the device for functionality. Users can delete this data by removing app data or uninstalling the app.
5. Data not collected
Mathiva is not designed to collect names, email addresses, payment information, cross-site browsing history, advertising identifiers, or personal records on Synapro servers.
6. No advertising tracking
Mathiva is not intended to perform advertising tracking across apps or websites. The app does not sell user data.
7. Apple services
Some Apple system services, App Store features, or device-level technologies may process information under Apple’s own policies, independently from this policy.
8. Children
Mathiva is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is intended as a general educational support tool.
